This PTA program encourages creativity and lifelong learning while offering recognition for artistic endeavors. The Reflections Program is designed to enhance quality arts education for students in preschool through grade 12.

White Oak Elementary students have the opportunity to express themselves creatively in six different art categories and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme.

This year's theme is "I AM HOPEFUL BECAUSE..."

The six art categories are:

  Dance Choreography

  Literature

  Photography

  Film Production

  Music Composition

  Visual Arts (2D and 3D)

There is also a Special Artists division for those students who have been identified as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504.

Students may enter the National PTA Reflections Program in one or more arts categories.  Each entry must be the original work of one student only.  An adult may not alter the creative integrity of a student’s work. Local winners in each category go on to compete at the district/region and state levels. State winners are then considered for a National PTA Reflections award.
