Join us on Friday, April 20th from 5 - 8 pm for WOES 2nd Annual Spring Carnival!  Come and enjoy carnival games, inflatables, music, raffles and food!

Admission is $5 per person (ages 2 and older).  Purchase carnival tickets to pay for carnival activities, snacks, beverages and raffle entries.  


Admission bands and tickets will be available for purchase on April 20th, starting at 5pm (at the door).  The cost of tickets is $1 per ticket.

Pre-purchased tickets will be sent home with your child on Thursday, April 19.  Please write your name and mobile number on the tickets used for raffle basket entries.   This is how we will contact you if you win!


The Spring Carnival will be held rain or shine.  No refunds. 


Food Truck



Local food truck, Stuft Gourmet Potatoeswill be at the Spring Carnival!  Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free food options are available. 


The food truck will accept cash, credit or debit.  Please note the food truck will not be able to accept carnival tickets for payment.

Silent auction

We're introducing our first ever Silent Auction at this year's Spring Carnival!  We're keeping things small to see how it goes. Our mini-Silent Auction will be held in the Cafeteria between 5-7:30pm. 

The items currently up for bid, include:

  • An overnight stay at The Umstead, including breakfast for two at Herons
    Estimated value:  $575

  • A Round of Golf at Old Chatham Golf Club for 3-4 (caddy fees may apply)
    Estimated value:  $500

  • A week of Summer Camp at Northwest Cary YMCA
    Estimated value:  $200

  • A week of Summer Camp at Starpath Dance Academy
    Estimated value  $180

  • $100 gift card to be used on a qualifying vacation package* booked through Amy Parker Travel (www.mickeyvacations.comalong with Disney promotional items (tote, 2 sets of Mickey ears headbands and 2 autograph books with pens) 
    Estimated value:  $125

Each item has a starting bid price and a minimum bid increment.  To make your bid, simply write your name, email address/phone number and bid amount on the item's bid sheet.  Carnival attendees will have the opportunity to make their in-person bids on the items until 7:30pm. 

The winning bids will be announced at 7:45pm.  Auction winners can take home their item the night of the event.  Please be prepared to pay for your winnings in the cafeteria (cash/check).  If the winner is not present, then we can make alternate arrangements for payment and pick-up.




*Qualifying packages include minimum 3-night resort stay with 3-day or more base tickets package for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, any Disney Cruise Line or Adventures by Disney vacation. Travel must be booked no later than December 31, 2018 and travel must be completed by December 31, 2019.




Interested in volunteering at the Spring Carnival or know someone who is?  


We need A LOT of help in order to make the Spring Carnival a success.  We need volunteers for everything from seling tickets/refreshments and running the carnival games to helping with setup and tear-down.  Most time slots are a half hour or an hour long to make sure you also have time to enjoy the carnival with your family.  This is also a great opportunity for high school students looking for community service hours.  


Additionally, we would like to borrow some items like coolers and canopies from fellow White Oak families.

Basket Raffle


During our Spring Carnival, we will have our annual basket raffle.  Each class sponsored a basket and WOES families were asked to donate items for the basket.  We want to say THANK YOU to all the White Oak families who contributed to this year's raffle baskets.  The baskets look awesome!!

These baskets, along with teacher-donated treats and business-donated items, will be on display on Friday, April 20th from 5-7:30pm at the Spring Carnival.  Carnival attendees will have the opportunity to use their carnival tickets as a raffle entry, selecting which basket(s) they hope to win. 


Please make sure your raffle entry ticket has your name and cell phone number written on the back.  A list of the basket winners will be posted outside the cafeteria door at 7:45pm.  You do NOT have to be present to win!  Baskets can be picked up between 7:45pm -8:15pm on the night of the carnival or between 3pm - 3:45pm on Monday, April 23rd.  Please note that the winners of the Teacher Treat Baskets will be announced during school on Monday, April 23rd.  Good luck!!
